Event Coordinator (ER/3403)

Sydney: $55,000 plus superannuation

Our client is a boutique brand activation company located in inner Sydney. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Event Coordinator to join the business on a permanent basis.

Your duties will include the following:

  • Own and professionally manage projects end-to-end from concept to execution
  • Prepare and pitch executive level presentations, event manuals, creative briefs and more
  • Liaise with suppliers to organise accurate build, AV and logistical requirements, price negotiations and more
  • Build, manage and maintain strong client, supplier and stakeholder relationships
  • Manage budgets of $50k up to $800k and timelines with fierce attention to detail
  • Build and maintain strong client, supplier and stakeholder relationships
  • Have your finger on the pulse of industry trends

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with attention to detail
  • A sound understanding of build and logistics for exhibition stands or similar
  • A willingness to be part of the engine room; rolling up your sleeves and demonstrating enthusiasm for the necessary tasks as well as the exciting ones
  • A personable, humble, loyal and team focused character
  • The ability to hit the ground running as a ninja-like multi-tasker; you’ll be someone who demonstrates resilience and a can-do attitude
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite of applications, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • A keen eye for spelling, grammar and general attention to detail
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work autonomously, while simultaneously working in harmony with your team
  • Willingness to travel and work the occasional weekend and after hours depending on project commitments
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Formal tertiary qualifications – a degree in business, marketing, events, communication or similar (preferred, but not essential)
