Event Assistant (ER/3402)

Sydney: $45,000 plus superannuation

Our client is a boutique brand activation company located in inner Sydney. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Event Assistant to join the business on a permanent basis.

Your duties will include the following:

  • Driving projects from event concept to execution
  • Event management including show call, event logistics and onsite support
  • Ideating and creating pitch presentations, event manuals, creative briefs, reporting debriefs and more
  • Managing large project budgets and timelines with fierce attention to detail
  • Building, managing and maintaining strong client, supplier and stakeholder relationships
  • Having your finger on the pulse of industry trends
  • Interstate travel opportunities
  • Other day-to-day administrative and office activities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, plus attention to detail
  • A sound understanding of basic build and logistics for exhibition stands or similar
  • A willingness to be part of the engine room; rolling up your sleeves and demonstrating enthusiasm for the necessary tasks as well as the exciting ones
  • A personable, humble, loyal and team focused character
  • The ability to hit the ground running; you’ll be someone who demonstrates resilience and a can-do attitude
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite of applications, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • A keen eye for spelling, grammar and general attention to detail
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work autonomously, while simultaneously working in harmony with your team
  • Willingness to travel and work the occasional weekend and after hours depending on project commitments
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Formal tertiary qualifications – a degree in business, marketing, events, communication or similar (preferred, but not essential)
