Global exhibition organiser seeks a competent Business Development Manager to generate momentum for the exhibition sales function by sourcing and contracting new business and managing growth from existing business.
Specifically, you will source and build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain an extensive knowledge of current market trends and conditions.
You will develop and maintain relationships with existing exhibitors, sponsors, and partners and visit as required; research the market and competitors and attend industry functions,
Initiate and undertake client visits; write high quality sales proposals, compile sales quotes and contracts; produce sales plans and reports to management and achieve exhibition and sponsorship revenue targets and other appropriate KPIs.
You will require proven expertise in direct consultative selling and generating new business and a track record of hitting sales revenue targets, as well as solid sales planning and reporting skills. You will also be an excellent communicator, collaborator and negotiator who is able to work well under pressure and in challenging markets, as well as being highly a problem solver, highly self-motivated, pro-active, focused, tenacious and goal orientated.
