Sydney: $90,000 negotiable plus super plus bonus (OTE c$130,000 package)
This global exhibition and events business seeks a proactive Sales Manager to play the lead role in sourcing and building key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market trends, issues and conditions.
At the heart of this role is the ability to lead, motivate and generate momentum for the exhibition sales function through the direction, mentoring and leadership of a team of three business development staff. Your success will be determined both by your personal and overall team success, in sourcing and contracting new business, and the management of growth in existing business
Specifically, you will be responsible for managing and developing sales executives to create a thriving and active sales team, developing and track KPIs for sales staff on a regular basis, managing and growing existing key client exhibitors, sponsors and partner relationships, sourcing and enhancing new business across the scope of event s, collating and producing sales plans and reports, writing high quality sales proposals and keeping abreast and researching market developments
To succeed in this role you will have a proven track record of exceeding sales & new business targets, high quality sales planning and reporting skills, direct consultative selling experience, team coaching, goal setting and performance management skills.
You will also be highly self-motivated, an excellent communicator and collaborator, pro-active, able to take responsibility and use initiative, an astute negotiator, tenacious and team focused, able to work well under pressure, a problem solver and possess high personal and work standards.
